White-Tailed Doe Season Closed In North Idaho

In response to lower deer numbers in most of Idaho's Panhandle, white-tailed deer doe seasons were shortened this year to help herds recover more quickly from the back-to-back rough winters of 2006-2007 and 2007-2008.
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game would like to remind hunters that the rifle season for white-tailed does closed Monday, November 9, in Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5, 6, 7 and 9. There is no doe harvest for mule deer in these units.
