Changes To Check Station List For Deer Season

AKRON, OH – The ODNR Division of Wildlife announces additions and other changes to where northeast Ohio hunters may check in their deer this fall. These changes are not contained in the 2008-2009 hunting and trapping digest printed earlier this year. HUNTERS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO CALL THE CHECK STATION PRIOR TO HUNTING SEASON TO CONFIRM HOURS AND SEASONS OF OPERATION.


Ashtabula County-  Dorset Convenience, 3276 Footville-Richmond Rd., Dorset, (440)858-2092: M-F 6am-9pm; Sa. 8am-9pm; Su. 12-7pm: Check in- Deer Archery, Gun, Muzzleloader

Holmes County-  Glenmont General Store, 124 Main St., Glenmont, (330) 377-4109: M-F 7am-7pm; Sa. 9am-5pm; Su. 10am-4pm: Check in- Deer Archery, Gun

Tuscarawas County-  Sally’s Hilltop Store, 1958 Postby Road SW, Newcomerstown, (740)492-0124: Tu-Sa. 7am-10pm; Su. 11am-7pm; Closed Mon.: Check in- Deer Archery, Gun, Muzzleloader
