Deer Management Workshop Scheduled

SPRUCE PINE, N.C. (Aug. 4, 2008) -- The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is one of several agencies sponsoring and presenting at an upcoming workshop on managing deer.

“White-tailed Deer Management: The Basics and Beyond” is slated for Aug. 13 and 14 at the Pinebridge Inn in Spruce Pine.

Organized by N.C. State University’s Forestry and Environmental Outreach Program, the event will feature speakers on deer biology, food plots, commission programs to assist landowners with deer management, and whitetail disease risks.
