Rifle season starts about the 10th of November and runs for 16 days - right during the peak of rut. The size of the deer usually runs from 120 to 140 inches, with a few larger ones taken each year. We hunt a lot of canyons and some shots can be pretty long. Don't be afraid to practice and be prepared for shots of 250 to 400 yards.
