Deer-Archery Season Opens Statewide September 26 - Sep. 08, 2009COLUMBUS, OH - Approximately 300,000 bowhunters, representing more than half of all Ohioans who hunt deer, are expected to participate in the statewide archery deer hunting season that opens September 26, according to experts with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

Southwest Ohio State Nature Preserves To Hold Special Archery Hunts - Aug. 14, 2008
An increasing deer population, resulting in extensive damage to native plant communities, has led the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Natural Areas and Preserves to coordinate special archery deer hunts at 25 state nature preserves across the state. Six preserves in southwest Ohio will participate in the lottery.
