We offer a limited number of deer hunts (still hunts only) which you may use bow, black powder or rifle according to the appropriate season. Hunt from covered tower stands and all stands are corned as well as have salt licks nearby. Many stands are located on green fields and lanes. Hunters are dropped off and picked up at stands at the end of the hunt.

Arrowhead Hunting Preserve has a large deer population. Deer feed off corn, sunflower, soybeans, peanuts and clover. We offer two and three day package hunts which include lodging. Or come out and stay for a week. All stands are Cabella's ladder stands (we have father/son, tripod stands, ladder stands with swivel chair or 15ft. plain ladder stands). The stands are baited with corn. Our average deer have horns running about 14 or 15 inches in diameter with 8 points and weigh approximately 165 pounds.

Having a strict management program to ensure growth, Buchanan Shoals has some of the best whitetail hunting in the Southeast. On a guided hunt, our guests are taken to their stands before daylight by an experienced guide and picked up around 10:00AM. After a lunch, the hunters will be taken back to their stands until dark. Handling the kill is included in a guided hunt. The deer will be dressed and quartered.
