Regular Firearms Deer Season Starts November 10, 2010 - Oct. 27, 2010CONCORD, N.H. ? The season runs through December 5 in much of the state, except in Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) A in northern New Hampshire, where it closes November 28, 2010.
N.H. Youth Deer Hunt Set for October 23-24, 2010 - Oct. 13, 2010
Take a young person hunting on New Hampshire?s youth deer weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 23-24, 2010. This special weekend gives young people the opportunity to go deer hunting with an adult mentor, without the pressure of competing with thousands of adult hunters. Accompanying adults must be licensed hunters and are not allowed to carry a firearm, so that they can devote all of their time and attention to teaching and coaching their young companions. Nonresident youth may participate in New Hampshire?s youth deer weekend only if their state of residence allows New Hampshire youth to participate in its youth deer hunt.
Chronic Wasting Disease Not Detected in New Hampshire's Deer - Mar. 19, 2010
CONCORD, N.H. -- New Hampshire's white-tailed deer population once again showed no evidence of chronic wasting disease (CWD), based on monitoring data gathered during the 2009 hunting season. New Hampshire Fish and Game Deer Biologist Kent Gustafson recently received results from a federally certified veterinary diagnostic laboratory that indicate that all the deer tissue samples taken during last fall's hunting season tested negative for CWD. A total of 439 tissue samples were tested.
2009 New Hampshire Deer and Bear Hunting Season Results - Dec. 23, 2009
CONCORD, N.H. -- Based on preliminary deer registration tallies, N.H. hunters harvested 10,390 deer during the 2009 season. This preliminary statewide total kill was down about 5% from the actual 2008 deer kill of 10,916, but is comparable to season results prior to 2006.

Unit M Antlerless Deer Permits Now Available - Jul. 01, 2009
CONCORD, N.H. -- Hunters who want the chance to take an additional antlerless deer in Wildlife Management Unit M in southeastern New Hampshire during the fall hunting seasons can buy a special permit from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department starting July 1.
